Nokia 808 Pureview Wins Best New Device at MWC 2012
The Mobile World Congress is now over for another year with the event being concluded yesterday. However, news about awards from the event still need to be reported on and one such award is the "Best Mobile Handset, Device or Tablet Award".

The prestigious award, decided by a panel of top judges, was given to Nokia's Pureview 808 smartphone. 3G tend to agree with the decision because the Lumia Pureview 808 was the most innovative and unique mobile at the event in our eyes.

The Nokia Pureview 808 has an amazing 41 mega-pixel camera which enables you to capture perfect shots which can edited, zoomed, cropped and edited later. You can also record perfect video with amazing sound thanks to Nokia Rich Recording Technology.

Nokia teased us earlier in the week with a video promoting "Nokia Pureview" which will offer "Pure Detail and Pure Definition" and have now unveiled the first Pureview smartphone at MWC 2012.

Nokia have delivered on their promises with the Nokia Pureview 808, which has an amazing 41 mega-pixel camera. Nokia have branded the 808 as a "new revolution in smartphone imaging" and we find it hard to argue with them.

When using the camera at standard resolutions (2/3, 5 and 8 mega-pixels) you can take images with zoom enabled without losing pixel clarity. The camera will take shots with 7 pixels and combine them into one for amazing clarity, while also ensuring the file-size is kept down.

When using the camera at full resolution (38 mega-pixels) you can take a picture then zoom, re-frame, crop or re-size afterwards to expose previously unseen detail. The camera which comes with a Carl Zeiss optics lens and a Xenon flash, enabling users to take studio quality pictures on their smartphone.

PARIS -- Telecoms and media conglomerate Vivendi SA warned Thursday that its earnings will suffer this year and next after the entry of a fourth mobile telephone operator into the French market.

Paris-based Vivendi, which owns the Universal Music Group as well as film studio Canal Plus, warned in a statement that heightened competition from Free, a French internet service provider which received a mobile phone license last year, "will place increased pressure on Vivendi's results in 2012 and 2013."

The profit warning shocked investors, who bid down Vivendi shares nearly 10 percent in early trading on the Paris stock exchange. At 1430 GMT Vivendi shares were down 7.8 percent at euro14.86.

Vivendi's warning came as it reported 2011 net profit up 22 percent to euro2.68 billion ($3.6 billion).

Vivendi owns SFR, France's number two mobile phone operator with a total subscriber base of 21.5 million. Vivendi said it would "reconsider very carefully" SFR's commercial offer and its cost base in response to the emergence of a fourth mobile operator in France.

The company said it does not expect to return to profit growth before 2014, when benefits from past acquisitions and further development in emerging countries like Morocco and Brazil should start flowing through

BlackBerry Curve 9320 coming to India?
Even post-MWC, a glimpse of a new mobile phone is always a welcome sight, and that is precisely what drew our attention towards the BlackBerry Curve 9320. Spotted in the wild, this next BlackBerry is rumored to be among the entrants slated to enhance the company’s Curve range in India.

If the tech world buzz is to be believed, then the new smartphone is composed of a full plastic body. It might also boast of a dedicated BBM key placed on the left half of the keypad. Software specifications reveal the inclusion of the BlackBerry 7.1 OS, which is the recent update to RIM’s smartphone platform and is said to offer better BBM integration.

The phone might not be officially recognized anytime soon, but we still get to take a pretty good look at its tech specs, after the folks over at BGR India showed off some cursory pictures of this fresh handset. According to their report, the device is apparently a 3G enabled variant of a certain Curve 9220. Furthermore, it seems like the camera option also differs when comparing the two gadgets.

As reported by the website, the battery for the prototype lasted for about two days, even after call sessions over the 2G network. Although there is no sure word about it yet, the device may just offer FM radio as part of its entertainment options.

Eager users will have to wait for the BlackBerry Curve 9320 release date and price details until the phone is formally introduced by the company. However, gauging from the probable price of the aforementioned 9220 model, this one might fit within the price bracket of Rs. 12,000, in India.

iPhone 5 Release Date, Rumors & News: iPad 3 Simultaneous
iPhone 5 Release Date, Rumors & News: iPad 3 Simultaneous A5X and A6 Chips Development
A lot of people initially thought that iPad 3 will retain A5 chips because of the serial number dug up by some observers some weeks ago. However, in the latest iOS 5.1 beta, 9to5Mac has dug up another processor serial number that’s most likely the A6 quad-core chip.
“9to5Mac has revealed yet another application processor, S5L8950X, appearing alongside the S5L8945X that is apparently inside the A5X. This new application processor is presumed to be part of Apple’s actual A6 system-on-a-chip.”

“Deep in the iOS 5.1 betas (as shown below) sits references to two next-generation iOS device chips: the previously discussed S5L8945X and this brand-new S5L8950X. While nobody has found this 50X (A6) chip in the code until now, we can report that both next-generation processors entered the iOS code simultaneously. This would seem to indicate that Apple has been working on two next-generation chips.”

It seems like this is how Apple now tests their upcoming devices. So, if rumors about iPhone 5 not upgrading A6 start to pop up, you know exactly what is going on!
