HTC Sensation XL (Price Rs 37,500),
HTC Sensation XL is the latest inclusion to HTC's Sensation family after the Sensation, Sensation 4G and Sensation XE. It has a 4.7 inch display.
The Sensation XL is HTC's first ever phone to feature a 1.5 GHz processor supplied by Qualcomm and a whole new interface with the latest HTC Sense 3.5 UI. Coupled with the latest Android operating system this device works flawlessly and offers users unparalleled performance.
It features a slim body that is less than 9.9 mm thick. Sensation XL houses a single core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion MSM8255T mobile processor coupled with an Adreno 205 graphics card.
The device also has an 8 megapixel camera at the rear with auto-focus, LED flash, and the ability to record 720p HD video. At the front lies a 1.3 megapixel camera for video calls and chatting.
Sensation XL features Beats Audio technology that incorporates pre-configured audio profiles loaded on phones, which become active as soon as the earphones are plugged into the 3.5 mm audio port. Also, HTC bundles a pair of headphones built using Beats audio technology for great music.
Samsung Galaxy Note (Price Rs 32,700)
The Galaxy Note offers the muscle of a smartphone in a form that is almost similar to that of a tablet. All this is encased inside a slim and sleek body that comes with a free protective cover inside the box.
Galaxy Note is the first device to sport a 5.3 inch HD Super Amoled display with a native resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. It supports multi-touch and also comes with the S (Smart) Pen stylus that allows users to go creative with all their might.
For powering this massive device, Samsung has chosen a dual core 1.4 GHz Exynos microprocessor with Mali-400 MP dedicated graphics processor. This phone is almost 200 MHz faster than the Galaxy S2, and is very useful for doing memory intensive tasks like photography and image editing
Galaxy Note features 1 GB of RAM along with 16 GB memory onboard for storage. Its 8 megapixel camera comes with LED flash capable of recording 1080p full HD videos at 30 fps. There is a front facing 2 megapixel camera as well that allows self-portrait shots and video calling. Samsung has also announced an offer under which it is giving away free Sennheiser headsets with every Galaxy Note smartphone.
Sony Xperia S (Price Rs 30,990)
Xperia S is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon MSM 8206 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. It has a 4.3 inch 1280 x 720 pixel display and runs Android 2.3.7, which will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 soon.
There is a 12 megapixel camera capable of recoding full HD video which utilises Sony's Exmor sensor technology, which helps in taking quality images in low light conditions.
Also, there is a burst mode which allows users to take multiple images in continuation for fast paced action such as sports, fireworks and even dance. On the connectivity front the Sony Xperia S features 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC capability.
Xperia S is the second officially certified PlayStation device after Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. It has access to the Sony PlayStation store.
